Producer Notes
Finca Colomba has been in the Adolfo family for three generations. In 1949, Adolfo McEntee inherited properties in the Cordillera de Llamatepec, near the Santa Ana Volcano, and began planting Bourbon coffee at Finca Colomba and Finca San Francisco. His son, Jose Adolfo, later took over before passing it to his son, "Fofo." During the civil war, Jose Adolfo emigrated to Miami after being kidnapped twice, leaving farm management to Mario Valiente, owner of Finca Calera. In 2014, Valiente built Colomba's dry mill, ensuring full control over production from farm to export. The farm employs 80 people year-round and up to 210 during harvest. Finca Colomba supports local schools, organizes medical conferences, and distributes Christmas toys to nearby communities.
