El Morito coffee farm, founded by Roberto Monterroso in 1994, is nestled in Morales, Mataquescuintla, Jalapa. Its unique climate, altitude (1,400–2,650 meters), and size enable diverse coffee production, from sweet and balanced to bright and complex profiles. Spanning 672 hectares, the farm includes 523.4 hectares of untouched forest with pine, cypress, and oak trees, fostering ideal conditions for coffee growth under a natural canopy. Beyond coffee, El Morito supports local schools and medical services for its workers. El Morito's excellence is evident in its Cup of Excellence record, including a 1st-place win in 2022.
