What is Victoria 14?

Victoria 14 is an Arabica coffee varietal developed and cultivated at Hacienda Sonora in Costa Rica. It is commonly described as a selection related to Sarchimor T5296, a leaf rust resistant line descended from Timor Hybrid crossed with Villa Sarchi, and it can show juicy fruit plus chocolate and spice notes depending on processing.


Producer Notes

At Hacienda Sonora, hand-picked cherries are float sorted, then naturally dried inside the fruit under carefully controlled conditions before resting, mechanical drying, and meticulous sorting to preserve quality. The century-old family estate, led by Alberto, is a pioneer of alternative processing and cultivates over 20 coffee varities across 80 hectares. The farm runs on renewable energy generate onsite, powering the mill and supporting the local community.
